It's been a while since I've posted! It's not that I haven't been doing anything, quite the contrary. The wedding invites have been finished and printed and will be sent out soon, so will post some pictures later. They turned out really well!!
Had a bit of a disaster with my business cards.. I'm not happy with the finishing and it's not because I am a perfectionist, which I am, but I want to be able to give out cards that represent the company and brand properly. I'm finding an alternative for my business cards. Though I will still give the printed ones out, I don't want to waste paper!
Speaking of which, I've been doing a lot of research into being earth friendly and reducing waste and so on. The path the world is currently on is leading to a polluted and depleted world.. our desire for consumption and more consumption, demands the manufacture of more products, packaging and transporting goods around the world, creates more greenhouse gases causing climate and environmental change. It's not to say we have to stop consuming "stuff" which would be a difficult, and fairly impossible task to achieve, but we should be wise and educated about what we buy and use and how to dispose of them properly, and understand how our decisions can better the world we live in.
For mulberry moment, we need to understand and realise the implications of the paper stock used and how they can be reused or recycled. What's In Your Paper? Paper Steps helps us understand what environmentally paper should be and what we can do to be more earth friendly. Recycled paper is actually a lot easier to recycle again!
In addition to the paper we'll be using, printing with non-toxic, acid free ink such as soy ink will be a huge focus for our products. So more about that later.
